    1. Hi Rose,

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I read the article and it looks like this mostly applies to websites and real companies? It doesn’t say anything about small time blogs. I also don’t have a blocker requiring people to click Like before gaining access to the giveaway page. It looks like the article is mainly discussing that? All one has to do is find my page on FB and they don’t have to Like it just to read it.

I only require the Likes to enter my giveaway. I can’t compete with big companies so I don’t see how I can be a threat to them. I’m just doing this to make my followers happy.

  1. Yes I agree you’ll be fine because you’re a private page, and that businesses and small companies should follow the rule. (By the way, you can ask people to like your post). If you don’t mind giving something new a try, I recommend hosting a giveaway on your blog using Rafflecopter. Use their options “Visit Us on Facebook”, follow on twitter, Pinterest, and by email and list the competition on It’s nice to try new things anyway if you haven’t done this already before. 🙂

Also, it’s not really a big deal and you have amazing prizes. Your followers are lucky.
