On March 17, 2017 Kate wore this pearl cocktail ring.
Anna of MSO notes that the ring (unlike the necklace she wore to accompany this ring) has the same circle of rhinestones around the perimeter of the pearl. We are still uncertain of its origins or maker.
From the website: ” “Brilliant-cut micro-pavé white diamonds with a cumulative weight of 0.23 carats are meticulously hand set into this 18ct white gold eternity ring, putting a uniquely modern twist on a classic piece of jewellery.”
The ring is set apart from typical eternity rings by its firm band of white gold on either side of the diamonds. Most eternity rings feature unbordered diamonds.
Cataloguing Kate’s jewelry collection wouldn’t be complete without a post about her engagement ring.
As many already know, Kate’s ring used to be belong to her late mother-in-law. In 1981, Lady Diana Spencer chose the stone “from a selection presented to her by the then Crown jewellers Garrard of Mayfair. It cost £28,500 but, unusually for a choice by a member of the Royal Family, it was not unique and any member of the public could buy the same ring from the Garrard catalogue”. *
The ring was made by Garrard in London, and consists of one large oval Ceylon sapphire surrounded by 14 solitaire diamonds. It is set in white gold.
Some reports state that the sapphire is 12 carats. However, Ayvee of Diana’s Jewels believes that it may be 9 carats.
Here it is on Kate:
The ring was thought to be priced at £28,000 in 1981. Today, it’s deemed to be worth £250,000 or more, placing it just at the $500,000 mark.
In the previous post, Kate wore this large, stone-studded ring.
Here is the close up:
It appears to be a silvertone or silver metal chunk studded with white rhinestones (or some other stone) and colored stones. It’s hard to see, but it might have some floral design on some parts of it. The centerpiece is attached to a clear plastic ring (you can see Kate’s skin color through it). I think this is costume jewelry.
Ayvee of Diana’s Jewels very astutely points out that the stones on this yellow gold ring correlate with Kate’s and William’s birth months.
Many people speculate that it was given to Kate as a gift from William because she started wearing it while she was dating him.
The ring is a somewhat thick band studded with pearls and garnets (June’s gemstone is pearl, January’s is garnet). It doesn’t look like the gemstones surround the entire band. They appear to cover the visible part of the ring only.
She wore it while visiting Action on Addiction in 2013.
Kate used to wear this silver ring with an oval center stone before her marriage.
Here is a close up of the ring.
My best guess would be that this is sterling silver with a light colored stone. Possibly moonstone or quartz, but I’m not sure..The silver shines brightly, which means that it’s not silver plated.
Kate was seen wearing this ring often during her early and mid-twenties. The above photo was taken at Englefield House Polo in June 2006. You can see the ring on her right hand (middle finger). On her left hand it appears she is wearing the gold ring that many people believe William gave her.
I believe she is wearing this ring in the photo below (taken in 2007).
